Egypt’s Morsi Under House Arrest:  CNN is reporting that ousted Egyptian leader Mohammed Morsi is being held under house arrest.  Which begs the question, can someone legally be held under house arrest if their house is still in escrow?

50 Cent Accused of Domestic Violence:  Rapper 50 Cent is facing five criminal charges for domestic violence and vandalism over kicking his “former girlfriend” and ransacking her bedroom during an argument at her Los Angeles condo last month.  Critics say if the changes are found to be true, 50 Cent’s career won’t be worth a plug nickel. 

Tiffany Exec Accused of Stealing:  Ingrid Lederhaas-Okun, vice president of product development for Tiffany & Co., has been arrested in Connecticut and accused of stealing and reselling over $1.2 million worth of jewelry.  That’s a lot of money.  Hell, in retrospect, they probably would have been better off hiring Lindsay Lohan.

Ocean-Mapping Satellite Decommissioned:  NASA has decommissioned the satellite Jason-1 that has tracked rising sea levels over the last 11 years after its last transmitter failed, estimating that the satellite will remain in orbit for about another 1,000 years before it finally falls back to Earth.  Scientists say the satellite poses no threat to anyone living today with the possible exception of Betty White and Larry King.
